Electronic Equipment Repair

How does it work?

Bob, our resident Tech Guru, has 40 years of experience repairing all types of electronic equipment. He will evaluate your equipment and then provide a cost and time estimate. If you want to proceed, he will get to work and return the item to you in pristine condition.

What sort of equipment does Bob repair?

Bob spends most of his time repairing receivers, preamps, amplifiers, tuners, cassette decks, and turntables. He is able to repair most vintage electronics.

How much does it cost?

The evaluation is completely free. After evaluating, Bob will provide you with a cost estimate - typically $30 an hour, plus the cost of any needed parts.

When will I get my equipment back?

The evaluation takes one week. Turn around time for repairs is 2-4 weeks. If parts need to be ordered, it very much depends on how soon Bob can get his hands on them.

Where do I drop off my equipment?

You can leave it with the employees of Paul's Boutique Records at 630 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066. We will place it in Bob's workshop downstairs.

Does Bob work every day?

Bob works Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10am to 1pm.

I don't live nearby. Can you still repair my equipment?

Sure! Give us a call at (860) 454-0154. We will work out the details on either picking your equipment up or shipping it here.
